“Prospects and actual trends of cooperation with countries of Asia and Pacific Region regarding Russia joining WTO” Conference.
13 April, 2006 in “Petrovskiy” hall of “National” Hotel ISATR organized a conference on “Prospects and actual trends of cooperation with countries of Asia and Pacific Region regarding Russia joining WTO”.
The goal of the event was to show Russian business new opportunities created by Russia joining WTO while revealing possible negative consequences. The main task of the Conference was to determine the best way of using WTO membership advantages and to show Russian businessmen ways to work after Russia’s entry.
Conference’s special subject was cooperation with Asia and Pacific Region countries regarding the fact that main manufacturing power is being concentrated in this particular region due to globalization processes.
Representatives of Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, State Duma (Council) of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Russian Federation and Moscow City Chambers of Trade and Industry, Embassies of Asia and Pacific Region countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, India, Republic of Korea, Pakistan, Japan), specialists of scientific and educational institutions, heads of major Russian companies-successful partners of Asian and Pacific region manufacturers took part in the event.
