Russia plays a unique role in the modern world due to its location both in Europe and Asia. This role is to become a contact point for civilizations of East and West each with its own traits, culture and traditions.

     Trying to cooperate, East and West representatives often find it difficult to overcome the peculiarities of culture (including business traditions) and differences in the way their partners think. Institute of Asia and Pacific Region (ISATR) is created to offer a complex solution to these problems and to plenty of others.

     ISATR is an Autonomous Non-Profit Organization and it was registered as entity by the Ministry of Taxation and Dues of the Russian Federation on September 20, 2004 (registration number 1047796697871).

     Institute’s main task is to contribute to the development of cooperation between organizations and persons of the Russian Federation and Asia and Pacific Region, to strengthen historical contacts, to see fulfilled large opportunities for trade, scientific, cultural and economical relations evolution, with these relations based upon existing legislation and other standard acts of interested parties.

     To achieve above stated objectives, ISATR provides a wide range of consulting services and other services (to get more information about our services see section “Our activity”), carries out research work.

     Both forward-looking cooperation and successful business are based upon not only contractual relationship competently worked over, but also the elements of mutual trust, understanding and respect of partners. To ensure this ISATR brings about the idea of “Cultures dialogue” aimed to intensification of cultural relations, increase in standard of knowledge concerning habits of thinking, traditions and business methods of different nations. All of that in its turn helps to establish mutual understanding between partners and leads to beneficial cooperation.
